Happy 1st Birthday, My Precious Girl

Yesterday could not have been more perfect. Brooke had such a great day. Her party was at 2PM and we had all of my family there and half of Chris's with it being Memorial Day weekend some had other plans. We had big juicy hamburgers and all the trimmings. Brooke got so many nice presents. She got a bean bag for her new play room at the new house, and a miniture picnic table for our back patio at the new house...it is so cute. Lots of toys, outfits and more. Chris and I got a little car that we can stroll her in, she loved it. My Aunt & Uncle got her a motorized 4 wheeler and it has a button on the handle...well when we put put Brooke on it her hand went over the button and she took off...it was hilarious. It was such a great day. Here are a few pics and a couple of videos...one of us singing Happy Birthday(FYI I got so emotional during that for some reason...it just kind of hit me unexpectedly) and one of her Daddy pushing her in her car....the faster he went the more she liked it....she is such a little dare devil...Enjoy!!

Poem to My Daughter on her 1st Birthday!!

I stumbled up on this the other day and I thought it was perfect considering our troubles with conceiving. Remember I found out I was pregnant on my 30th birthday. God is never early, never late, he is always on time!!


On your 1st Birthday, Brooke

I wished upon a star...
I closed my eyes and prayed,
I threw a shiny penny,
Into a well each day.

The same little wish was wished,
Upon my birthday cake; I asked the Lord...
Please hurry, just for heaven's sake!

I was trying to be patient,
But I had waited long enough
My wishing well with pennies,
Was now completely stuffed!

I knew that up in heaven,
They could see I really cared.
Just when I thought I couldn't bear another day

My Mommy went to Birmingham AL and all I got was....

Some blocks, and some outfits and some sandals. Well Kristal and I and I had to keep our mind of home so... we turned to some retail therapy. We found this one store named Goody's and went in it like 3 times...the cashier said "Weren't you two ladies hear last night" haha. We shopped for our hubbies and our little ones and bought us a few things to. Brooke had fun with her blocks and I got her some really cute things in Birmingham. I got home Friday afternoon and Brooke could not wait to get me unpacked, she has a meltdown when I leave out of her site but I guess that is understandable, She missed her Momma (words can not describe how bad I missed her) Saturday was my 5th wedding anniversary. We had a very low key Anniversary, not as low key as last year ( i was in the hospital waiting for Brooke) but we grilled steaks and just hung out as a family. This is going to be abusy week, my lil punkin will turn 1 on May 25th and I have a lot to catch up on since I was out of town for a week. I can't wait to post her birthday pics.

Happy 1st Mothers Day

Well the first part of my Mothers Day was wonderful. We woke up had coffee and then went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel, it was wonderful! But then dreaded time had come where my friend Kristal and I had to get on the road for our 7 hour drive to Birmingham, Alabama. Chris followed me over to her house and I said my tearful good bye there. We shared a lot of tears on that trip. I am so happy to be home. I have included some pics of My mothers day. Chris and Brooke gave me a beautiful necklace with mother in child surrounding a pink heart.....I LOVE IT!!

Spring Cleaning, Brooke Ashley style!!

So Brooke's favorite thing is to get into everything!!! She loves to take the clothes out of the dryer as I am putting them in and she loves to take stuff out of the cabinets and throw them on the floor. If she is not supposed to have it or its not a toy then of course she wants it. There is never a moment to sit and relax when we are at home...she is always on the move. She is so much fun these days and little comedian at that. She can make any day better and make me laugh out loud at some of the small things she takes joy in....in case you have not already figured it out....I am IN LOVE with that little girl. I have included some pics of Brooke in her poodle 1st birthday out fit....some of her playing under her excersaucer, and some of her cleaning out my cabinets.

Sleep, Sleep and thats right More Sleep.

So after going thru a lot of our vacation pics I noticed we had a lot of pictures of Brooke sleeping....Disneyworld is a vary tiring place especially for an 11 month old. Since we have gotten home she has not slept as much...all she wants to do is her new favorite thing, which is stand up. I have included a few of the sleeping pictures. The last ones, she was falling asleep on Its a small world and Chris took a picture and she sat up and gave him that look....too funny.
